Presenting the release of Chauncey Dandridge's "The Right Place" original track produced by @DJEddieAndrews
The very first track from The House Of Dandridge has arrived!
"The Right Place" features vocals by Chauncey Dandridge and production by DJ Eddie Andrews. Taking some of the old and some of the new, the track harkens back to the days of "the bitch track" funnelled through the fresh, technological savvy of Mr. Andrews. The big room sound melts your eardrums and moves your feet with a dubstep breakdown that keeps it violently grimey until the dark beat floods back in to tear up runways across the globe!
Is your cunt in the right place?

DJ Chauncey D : ARACHNAPHONICA (a silky mix of soulful house)
Chauncey spun a spidery web of silky beats and soulful house for the June 15th installment of The Sodomighty Show. There’s nothing to be afraid of in this delicious journey through magical percussion and whimsical woodwinds showing off DJ Chauncey D’s versatility in style and sophistication when serving up episode after episode for Radio Dentata. Reminiscent of the NYC days of Body and Soul, this mix is the perfect Summer escape as the sun rises and then sets and the moon takes its place in the sky.

The New Division : The Rookie ...new post from @slowdivemusic
This one has been long in coming … Playing with the name of two of their influences (Joy Division and New Order), The New Division, a Los Angeles quartet, released their debut EP earlier this year: “The Rookie” (11 January 2011 in the USA). Again, listening to this EP was the second time in recent months I was transported back to the late 80s, early 90s, when a slew of great bands were releasing debut EPs. With a name like “The Rookie,” a sort of novice, amateur-esque image may be conjured up, but these Angelenos are demonstrating some serious songwriting talent on their debut. While paying homage to the 80s (new wave, electropop, and post-punk), The New Division is not simply rehashing or stuck in the past, but treading in a new direction with it.

Find The Safe Sex Banana Cake at NYC PRIDE PARADE!
The House of Dandridge will have the distinct privilege of not only marching with Housing Works at the 2011 Pride Parade in NYC but will have the amazing Safe Sex Banana Cake in tow created by long time friend Nathaniel Siegel! We have known Nathaniel since way back in 1997 when Chauncey (before he was even Chauncey) worked at the 77th Street location of the popular Thrift Store chain (back when there were only 3 stores!). Nathaniel has always been a smiling face and rich resource for art as well as political pungency and activism. When Nathaniel spoke of his newest creation, we were happy to help out to promote a universal message that is often thrown to the wayside : SAFE SEX! Where better than to have a gigantic cake promoting the use of condoms then somewhere inside the Housing Works contingent?
