you can visit 'daddy' weekly now!

robert valin and i have teamed up to resurrect our short lived "daddy" party that took place in hk lounge a couple months ago...this week will be our third party at the new border of chelsea location...it's a hop, skip and a jump away from the gay ole eagle and together we are hoping to get a nice crowd to make it their thursday night drive by or destination so they can enjoy lurking in the kinky crevices of the basement or boogey within a background of tweaked out laser webs splattered across the bar while the sleazy sonic smorgasboard provided by yours truly coats your skin with a thick, predatory glaze.   stop by and see what daddy is up to thursday the first of october and enjoy!

Join all the men at NYC's newest weekly party where hipsters, bears, east village boys and Chelsea queens get groovin' for the weekend with indie electro, nudisco and dirty rock and roll by DJ Chauncey D every Thursday at DADDY!   check out the facebook event page here and/or join the 'daddy' group over here

thank the gays for computers too!

we're not just hairdressers and interior decorators anymore haha

i wonder if turing knew that in the future gays would be almost pleasantly enslaved by his invention...using it as a way to find false intimacy and cultivate their fetishes as well as reach out and network the world together to fight for equality...

Alan Turing, WWII Hero and Father of the Computer

Alan Turing, a mathematical genius, led the WWII team that broke the German code. Turing invented the Bombe, which deciphered secret messages encoded by the German Enigma machine. His invention turned the tide of WWII, shortened the war, saved countless lives and helped assure Allied victory.

Known as the father of the computer, the Turing machine is the basis for computer technology.

In 1952, Turing was arrested for gross indecency for consensual same-sex intimacy. He was offered imprisonment or chemical castration. Turing chose chemical castration. Two years later, at age 41, Turing committed suicide.

In September 2009, as a result of a successful international petition, UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown issued a formal apology to Alan Turning for the treatment he received.  Brown recognized Turing's contribution to humankind and "all those who live freely thanks to Alan's work." Brown stated, "I am proud to say we're sorry, you deserved so much better."

"Alan Turing is one of the most important figures of the 20th century," stated Malcolm Lazin, Executive Director of Equality Forum.  "Despite his exceptional accomplishments, homophobia castrated him and led to his suicide. More than an apology is required. Alan Turing deserves to be posthumously knighted by the Queen."

Turing's portrait is currently on display in the National Portrait Gallery in London as part of the "Gay Icons" exhibition.

you need a hug....a bear hug plus more!!

chauncey bear is busy as a beaver these two weeks...sunday night was a very, very succesful 'beetlejuice' at nowhere...here's what's coming up in dj chauncey d's world

check out the facebook invite here

last month Chauncey D was found in the booth wearing a bear suit.....what will he be wearing this time? hmmmmm

after a successful trial run at the fun and swanky space cabana that is
Hugs in Williamsburg, Chauncey D is preparing to take you on another
journey of deliciously dirty disco and greasy, grimy electro on
Thursday, September 10th at 10pm. Last month, Chauncey tagteamed the
night with a very special guest...none other than House of Bath! This
month will be no different as House of Bath returns to help Chauncey D
raise some blood pressure on the dance floor and keep him on top of his
game!
The newest party to hit the Williamsburg Queer scene will
take place the second Thursday of every month and guarantees to bring
you a judgement free, attitude free (and don't forget request free)
magical and mischeivous night of real men getting down to some real
music...pop lovers...this party might not be for you : )

you can also find chauncey spinning his heart out at sea on the metro bear ny 'end of summer' cruise around manhattan this saturday, september 12th!   tickets are available at the metrobear ny website and more info can be found on facebook!

and for all of you hirsute philadelphians....chauncey d makes his third appearance at Woof Philly on Sunday, September 13th!
