Authorities are not sure exactly what happened but eyewitnesses say that Madonna was taking a walk through Central Park when suddenly there was a blinding succession of lights and then a large saucer like vehicle hovered above the pop star and film director and mother of three and paused for about five and a half minutes. A light show ensued that reminded the onlookers of one of her dazzling light shows from one of her recent concerts. "It was brilliant!" says a nanny from the Upper West Side, who preferred to remain nameless due to her illegal immigrant status. She also said that suddenly what sounded like the opening swells of Madonna's eighties hit "Open Your Heart" blared out of the UFO and then suddenly blended quickly into her 1990 hit "Vogue". Two strange looking extraterrestrial creatures then descended from the craft, carrying what looked like a futuristic jump rope glowing like the kind of glowsticks you would find at a futuristic rave and began courting the mesmerized Madonna into a bizarre series of "double dutch like" maneuvers until the movement the ropes sped up and the children's book author vanished along with the creatures, the spaceship and the amazing lightshow. The NYPD is still stumped and hopes to uncover the mystery as soon as possible. The only piece of evidence was a crumbled piece of paper that was all the remained of the incident. When police unravelled the sheet of loose leaf, inscribed in what looked like Madonna's handwriting were the words, "Thank you..whoever you are".
