the new junkie xl album is sick! the beats alone are lovely and disgusting and there's a pretty decent cover of siouxsie and the banshee's 'cities in dust' giving it the updated grimey sound it deserves. the only thing that misses about it for me is the fact that the female vocalist tries to impersonate siouxsie...which is a criminal offense unless you're the girl from the yeah yeah yeahs, karen o. junkie xl is also one of the remixers of the new madonna single, 'four minute' (of course it had to come back to madge right?). i've always loves his work like his remixes for coldplay, sarah mclachlan, bt and the scissor sisters amongst others. he takes songs to a completely new level and height...the way it should be.
here's one of the songs from the album called 'you make me feel so good' sampling a sample from the 90's that i can't remember exactly. there are too many songs i wanted to share but this one will give you a good idea of what to expect on the album. enjoy!
