meant to be

was blogjogging (did i just make up a new internet term? prolly not) and stumbled upon this great entry at rosie o'donnell's blog...it was titled "beshert" which is hebrew for "meant to be" (thank you ari gold). it is just so romantic and from such an interesting source...

i told Kelli
that i found The Rosie O’Donnell Show mouse pad
in Bo’s desk, the one with you floating in a hot air balloon
with sparkles.what i didn’t know is that Bo taped a quote to the back of it.
i noticed it yesterday–

“Someday, after we have mastered the winds, the waves,
the tides and gravity–we shall harness the energies of love.
Then for the second time in the history of the world, man
will have discovered fire.”
– Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

i didn’t know much about this man but google says he was a
French Jesuit priest and paleontologist who was always on
digs in China and Egypt and kicked out of the church because
he believed in science and evolution as well as in God.
He is buried in Poughkeepsie , NY .
