perhaps the most well known and universally recognised symbol of good fortune is the horseshoe. according to vedic astrology, a horse shoe worn by a black horse protects against the malefic effects of saturn or 'shani dev'.

italian tradition says the famous 'corna' good luck horns protects you from bad luck, and the italian 'cornetto' brings you good luck and fortune! any italian remembers what these are...they either showed up around your neck in gold when you made your first communion or sooner or they were hanging from the rearview mirror in your father's cadillac (well at least that's what i remember eheh)

this ancient egyptian amulet, the scarab beetle, is worn as jewellery and symbolises the renewal of life.
the nut of the oak tree, it is also known as oak apple. carrying a dried acorn is believed to give the gift of youth to the wearer. it can also be used for wealth and attraction of the opposite sex. (i wonder what i can use for the same sex?)
don't you love how i not only entertain you but i educate you as well? hehehe yikes...this is gonna be a crazy year...and it's only almost seven hours old...that leaves approximately 8,759 hours to go! haha!
